KBPT expands into Forest Gate and Walthamstow

One of the benefits of training with KBPT is that we can come to you! And if you live in Forest Gate or Walthamstow, you’ll be pleased to know we’re now offering PT sessions in your area. To celebrate KBPT’s expansion further east, we’ve rounded up some of the best things about E7, E10 and E17 in this blog.

Forest Gate

Only 20 minutes from central London on the Elizabeth Line, Forest Gate was a cultural hotspot in the 1960s, with The Who, Jimi Hendrix and many other big names playing the Upper Cut Club. Here are a few of the current local highlights:

Joyau (@joyau_wine) – for a great selection of reds, whites and rosés, head to this bar and shop on Winchelsea Road.

Wild Goose Bakery (@thewildgoosebakery) – inspired by South Africa, you’ll find sourdough bread, sweet pastries and more at this Forest Gate bakery.

The Holly Tree (@thehollytree_e7) – newly refurbished, this pub is great for a Sunday roast after a walk on Wanstead Flats.

Cups & Jars (@cupsandjars_e7) – want to cut down on plastic waste? Check out this cafe and shop that offers a refill service for household goods, beauty products and food.

The Ciderhouse (@theciderhouse_e7) – what started as a lockdown project has become the go-to spot for comedy, music and cider.

Once you’ve enjoyed these places, it’s time for a workout. Our KBPT trainers can come to your home in Forest Gate or, if you prefer exercising outside, meet you at Wanstead Flats or West Ham Park. Find out more about training with KBPT in Forest Gate.

Walthamstow

Described as “buzzy” and “quirky”, the E17 postcode is an East End gem. In fact, Walthamstow Village was named the coolest place to live in London in 2022 by Time Out. Here are our top picks of the local area:

Lloyd Park Market (@lloydparkmarket) – locals flock here every Saturday to stock up on fresh produce and street food.

Walthamstow Wetlands (@walthamstowwetlands) – if you’re lucky, you might see a kingfisher or peregrine falcon at this 211-hectare nature reserve.

Froth and Rind (@froth_and_rind) – head to Walthamstow Village for delicious cheese, wine, craft beer and other treats.

William Morris Gallery (@morrisgallery) – visit the radical Victorian designer’s former home to see his work as well as contemporary exhibitions.

God’s Own Junkyard (@godsownjunkyard) – be amazed by this huge collection of neon signs before visiting the neighbouring gin palace or microbrewery.

Walking around your neighbourhood is a great way to get active but how about upping your game with some KBPT sessions? If you live in Walthamstow, we can train you at home or in Lloyd Park, Chestnuts Field or another green space in E17. Find out more about training with KBPT in Walthamstow.
