Einav, thank you for joining us today. You’re a 36-year-old, living in London Fields by Broadway Market and working as a journalist. Let’s dive into your fitness journey. Can you tell us what motivated you to start personal training after the challenges posed by the pandemic?

Absolutely, after Covid, I felt the need for a positive change in my lifestyle. I wanted to get into better shape, gain some muscle, and lose weight. I started doing pilates at home, but I knew I needed professional guidance to ensure my form was correct.

 

It sounds like you found the right solution for your fitness goals. How did you come across your personal trainer, Sammie?

Initially, my partner and I were looking for a PT together, but then I decided to train on my own as our goals were quite different and that’s when I got paired with Sammie. Since then, I’ve been training with her once a week for the past 18 months.

 

That’s wonderful! Can you share with us how Sammie has tailored your training sessions to meet your specific needs and goals?

 

Sammie’s approach is incredibly accurate and personalised. She pays close attention to my goals and ensures that each session is tailored to my progress. I appreciate that she focuses on correcting my form and helps me understand what I can do better and how far I can push myself.

 

It’s great to hear that your sessions are so customised. Besides your training sessions, do you have any other fitness routines?

Definitely, outside of our sessions, I do 20-30 minutes of exercise on my own 4-5 times a week. Sammie has guided me on what to do outside of our sessions, which has been incredibly helpful. I’ve become more proactive about my exercise routine since working with her.

 

Building a connection with your trainer is crucial. How would you describe your relationship with Sammie?

I have a fantastic connection with Sammie. Not only does she help me achieve my fitness goals, but she also makes the sessions enjoyable. Having fun during our workouts is important to me, and Sammie ensures that happens. Even when she’s on holiday, the KBPT trainers who cover for her are knowledgeable and maintain the smooth flow of our sessions.

 

That sounds like a great support system. Can you share any specific achievements or changes you’ve noticed in yourself since starting personal training?

One of my most significant achievements has been embedding a healthier lifestyle into my routine. Dedicating time each week to exercise has made me feel stronger, which, in turn, has boosted my self-esteem. I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made.

 

Looking ahead, what are your future fitness goals, and how do you plan to stay on track, especially during the upcoming winter months?

Moving forward, I want to maintain my strength and possibly become even stronger. My next goal is to stay focused and on track, especially during the winter months. Sammie has been excellent at managing our workouts, adjusting to the weather conditions. We’ve exercised outside throughout the winter and switched to online sessions on really bad weather days, which I’ve also enjoyed.
