Busy single Mum working full-time, needed motivation to take better care of her health.

How did you find KBPT, and when did you start personal training?

I found KBPT through a Google search and started training once a week with Sammie about nine months ago.

What were your main goals when you started PT?

I wanted to get fitter and stronger, build body confidence, and tone up. I really needed motivation to take better care of myself, and I knew I needed help with my nutrition too.

What’s been the most helpful part of having personal training?

The nutritional advice has been a game-changer for me. My eating habits are now much more structured with clear principles to follow. Plus, I genuinely enjoy the sessions—they never feel like a chore. It’s the most efficient use of the limited time I have to exercise.

How does having PT make you feel?

My mood always gets a huge boost after a session, and I feel so positive. My mental health has really improved. No matter what’s going on, I never cancel a session because I know it’ll make me feel better, less stressed, and more energised.

What keeps you motivated to continue personal training?

Definitely seeing progress in my strength and fitness. I feel healthier, have more energy, and don’t get sick as often. I want to keep feeling this way, so that keeps me going.

What’s been your biggest achievement while training with KBPT?

Just sticking with it has been a huge achievement, especially as a single parent to two kids with a full-time job. It really helps that Sammie comes to me in Hoxton, so I don’t have to worry about travel time.

What do you like most about training with your personal trainer, Sammie?

She puts so much thought into her routines and session planning. It’s always tailored and varied, and I feel pushed but never in an aggressive way—it’s always manageable. Sammie is realistic, encouraging, and I genuinely look forward to our sessions.

What’s next with your training?

I’ve just increased from one to two sessions a week. I want to keep seeing progress, get stronger, and be able to keep up with my kids. It feels like a necessity now to help manage my stress levels.

It sounds like you are really getting the balance right. Well done for working so hard and persevering, seeing progress is such a reward for all of us!
