Hi Sinead, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us, we can’t believe it was Lockdown Summer of 2020 when your journey with us began!
Hey guys, yes time has flown by since then! I really wanted to get fit again coming out of the first Lockdown, so I got onto Google and found KBPT! I previously had PT at a gym but being able to have PT sessions outside due to Covid, was a great help!
We’re glad to have helped and we’ve heard first-hand from your KBPT personal trainer, Lauren, that you’ve been working really hard, focusing on increasing your strength. Tell us more about this…
We have been working really hard and I’m feeling so much stronger. It’s not just been me noticing either, my yoga teacher of ten years was the first to comment on how my yoga practice had improved and I knew that was down to my increased strength from my PT sessions!
It’s great that you do yoga alongside your strength training. You mentioned other comments too, who else has noticed your improved strength?
My personal trainer, Lauren was away on holiday and KBPT ensure that whatever happens, sessions are covered by another KBPT trainer. Kate covered my session and then again, a few months later. It was then that she commented on how much fitter and stronger I had got. That was the moment when I realised how far I’d come. Since I began, I’ve increased the weights I use in my PT sessions, I’ve taken up running and completed a 34km walk/running challenge for charity – I’m feeling really good and motivated for more!
Wow, go you! What is it that keeps you focused on your PT sessions with us?
I love that each PT session is different and helps develop skills in different areas. Lauren is great with creating new goals and points of focus for me to work towards, there’s always a focus! It’s not just that though, doing my personal training sessions makes me feel better in my mind as well as my body. If I’m feeling stressed or tired, I know that doing my PT session will leave me feeling great again, even if it is hard, Lauren still makes it fun. It’s also been a great motivator for me to make better food choices, when you feel good, you only want to put good stuff in you, which is a total winner for me!
You’re so right! Can you tell us what your future PT goals are?
I want to continue to get stronger both physically and mentally. I’ve seen the results and I know I can do it with KBPT’s support and guidance. As I’m getting older, I’m more aware of my health and maintaining it than ever before. Continuing my PT sessions, alongside my yoga and running, will help keep me strong, cardiovascular fit and body confident in the future – I see it as an investment for my overall health.
