Training During Menopause

We work with lots of women in their 40s and 50s who are going through hormonal changes. So, if you’re experiencing symptoms of the perimenopause or menopause, such as weight gain, joint stiffness and mood fluctuations, the KBPT team is here to help.

What kind of support does KBPT provide?

Women can experience up to 30 different symptoms at this stage of life. Following an initial consultation, we create a training plan for you that helps to alleviate your symptoms and motivates you to exercise regularly. This might include a weekly session with one of our KBPT trainers, workouts you can do at home and advice about nutrition and self-care.

What are the benefits of regular exercise?

Exercising during the perimenopause and menopause has lots of benefits for your physical health and mental wellbeing. These include:

  • Reduces stress
  • Helps you to maintain a healthy weight
  • Strengthens bones and slows down bone loss
  • Lowers your risk of certain illnesses (e.g. heart disease and Type 2 diabetes)
  • Boosts your mood and self-esteem
  • Helps you to sleep better
