What is TRX?
If it’s good enough for a Navy SEAL, it’s good enough for KBPT. TRX was created by Randy Hetrick, a former Squadron Commander, who was frustrated with normal body weight exercises while on deployment. Using a jiu-jitsu belt and parachute webbing, he came up with this new kind of suspension training.
What are the benefits of TRX for personal training?
Our personal trainers have been known to hang a TRX over doors in our clients’ homes and over posts in the local park. It’s a well-travelled, well-loved piece of equipment because:
- It has great muscular and cardiovascular benefits – use it for strength training or change the pace of the exercise for a cardio workout
- TRX gives you a full body workout or lets you work on a specific part of your body
- Every movement on the TRX engages your core (yes, you’ll probably ache tomorrow…)
- Young or old, fit as a fiddle or just starting out, we can make TRX work for you
- You can use it during pregnancy and for rehabilitation after injury
- TRX helps you to burn calories during and after your workout
