Fran, 35, Clapton

Has been personal training with KBPT for 7 years, it helps her self esteem and mental health.

Meet some of our KBPT clients, they’ve taken time out of their busy lives to tell us about their fitness journeys, from what inspired them to reach out to KBPT and what keeps them coming back for more. We hope you enjoy meeting them all and their personal stories.

Hey everyone, my name is Fran, and I’m a 35-year-old Londoner, living in Clapton. I recently left my job in marketing and opened an online vintage store @frankielouvintage.

Nice to meet you Fran, we love Clapton, it’s got some great greens spaces. How did KBPT first come on your radar?

I decided to look for a Personal Trainer because I’ve always struggled to get into shape and find a fitness routine I could stick at. I was looking for someone to help give me that push, so I looked online and KBPT had loads of amazing reviews. I got in contact and after a free consultation, I was confident that this was the place for me to train.

My first session was with Nicky. She was amazing. She’d go out of her way to help me reach my fitness goals. She even signed herself up to join me on my first 10k run. I’m currently training with Kate, who’s just the same, going out of her way to help me reach my goals and stay on track.

When I began training, I told myself I would just sign up for 6 months to get myself back on the right track. That was 7 years ago. The right track was KBPT! I can’t imagine not training with them now.

We love that you love the energy and motivation of our KBPT girls! Running 10km was a great achievement. What’s your biggest achievement since being with KBPT?

The 10km run was a great achievement, but honestly, my biggest achievement has been realising weight loss isn’t such a big deal to me anymore. The biggest difference has been to my self-esteem and mental health. I’ve stopped caring so much about being slim and focused on being fit and healthy instead.

It sounds like you’ve been on a real journey with your fitness. What keeps you training with KBPT?

I still see working out as a form of therapy, and I’m truly grateful that I found this out! I can’t imagine not training with Kate and KBPT. Even if I’m not feeling like exercising, I always feel better after working out.

We are so pleased for you Fran! What are your future goals at KBPT?

I would say to just keep going!

That’s a great mantra. Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us Fran.
