How long did you train with KBPT before your wedding?
I’d been training with KBPT on and off for the last 10 years. I really ramped it up about eight months before my wedding and gave it a nice big push over the last three months. I trained mostly at home and a couple of times online when I was away.
Did you have any specific goals?
My main goal was to feel really strong, fit and energised. I wanted to tone up and build muscle on my glutes, abs and legs. My trainer also helped me to keep an eye on my nutrition.
How did you feel on your wedding day?
I got married in New Zealand so I flew out about two weeks before the wedding and had a couple of online PT sessions from there, which was a great booster to get the endorphins flowing (despite the horrible squats and lunges!).
On the actual day, I felt incredible – really strong and toned. My dress fitted beautifully and I was super confident. It was a summer wedding so I even sent my trainer a photo of my butt in a bikini on honeymoon as I felt so good!
Would you recommend KBPT to other brides to be?
I totally recommend KBPT! Not only do they tailor the sessions to suit you and your specific needs but also your lifestyle and your work pattern. The flexibility of training at home, in the park or online is really handy.
Training with KBPT is more than exercise though – you get so much positivity and support from your trainer, it’s like having a life coach. Getting married should be fun so to help you deal with the stresses of planning a wedding, I think it’s really nice to gift yourself consistent support in the run-up.
